The studios of Energy Radio 91.1FM came alive on Monday afternoon as gospel legend Abena Serwaa Ophelia joined Steve Owusu, The Shishiishi Man, on Christians Connect for an inspiring yet brutally honest conversation.

With almost 30 years in gospel ministry, she didn’t hold back when asked what advice she would give the younger generation of gospel artistes.

Her message was sharp and cautionary.

Abena Serwaa Ophelia urged young and upcoming musicians not to invest all their capital into music production or events, warning that such decisions can lead to unnecessary financial hardship.

“Don’t copy blindly,” she stressed.

“You don’t know what others go through to put up concerts or promotions. Take your time, work, save, and grow gradually.”

She went further to deliver the most striking part of her counsel:

“If you put all your money into one project, you may end up a beggar.”

Her words sparked reflection across the listeners—wisdom earned through decades of experience.

But Abena Serwaa Ophelia was not only in the studio to advise; she was also there for a special purpose—to promote her upcoming event, AFAASE AFƆRE 2025 (Sacrifice of Thanksgiving).

The event comes off on:

📅 Sunday, 30th November 2025

⏰ 4:00 PM

📍 Parliament Chapel International – Odorkor Official Town

The night will feature powerful ministrations from top gospel ministers including Grace Ashley, Obaapa Christy, Oheneba Clement, Empress Gifty, Kofi Sarpong, Jack Alolomey, and more.

Her visit was a perfect blend of spiritual wisdom and event promotion, leaving listeners inspired and expectant for the thanksgiving experience ahead.
